India is endowed with a rich diversity of medicinal plants, which play a crucial role in traditional healing systems such as Ayurveda, Unani, and Siddha. The widespread cultivation of plant-based therapeutics for treating various diseases is attributed to their bioactive secondary metabolites. These phytochemicals contribute to the management of numerous health conditions, including chronic fever, malaria, arthritis, respiratory disorders, colds, coughs, dysentery, skin diseases, diarrhea, convulsions, and diabetes (Subhose et al., 2005).
