Abstract
Saraca asoca (Ashoka tree) has been widely utilized in traditional medicine for managing gynecological disorders such as menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, leucorrhea, and infertility. Its therapeutic potential lies in its phytochemical constituents, including flavonoids, tannins, and saponins, which exhibit anti-inflammatory, astringent, and uterotonic properties. This chapter reviews the traditional uses, phytochemical composition, mechanisms of action, and clinical relevance of S. asoca in treating women's health issues, emphasizing its role in traditional and modern healthcare systems.
