Abstract

In this experimental study discussed the impact of current and time on dissimilar spot-welded joints. Mild and stainless-steel material used in this experimental study. Tensile test, peel test, Vickers hardness and nugget diameter these all experiments performed in this experimental study. The purpose of this study is to create a strong spot welded joint & the utilization of this spot in automobile manufacturing, aerospace industry, electronic industry, and appliance manufacturing. Used of thickness of every steel sheet 1.2 mm, use of thickness of sheet 3-4 mm in the resistance spot welding (RSW) process. Dissimilar welding is not easy in comparison to similar welding techniques so due to this reason used of dissimilar welding in this experimental study. The basic parameters of RSW is welding current, welding time, welding force & spot strength, hardness, nugget diameter, HAZ these all are the mechanical properties of RSW. Used of methodology 10 sample test for every test (tensile test, peel test, hardness, nugget of spot). Final observation of this experimental study the current is more effective in comparison to time; more impact of current on the diameter of HAZ in comparison to time.
